If you haven’t heard about Leona Lewis yet, YOU WILL! She’s the hottest new singer on UK’s hit show X-Factor, which is pretty much the British version of American Idol, even with Simon Cowell as one of the judges, as well as Sharon Osbourne and another old British guy that nobody cares about.
Leona has been giving FLAWLESS performances week after week. It’s unbelievable how good she is! Having worked in the music industry for years and having been in recording studios with some of the best pop singers in our time, I have to say that Leona Lewis is probably the best female vocalist I’ve ever heard! No Joke! She’s a young Mariah Carey with the soulfulness of Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera. Even Simon who’s known for putting down all the contestants has said week after week that Leona is going to be huge both in the UK and the US. I can’t wait for her to win the whole show and put out an album and come over to the U.S. She’s amazing!
Here’s a Clip from her latest performance on Saturday, she sang Lady Marmalade against doctor’s orders because she has tonsillitis, yet she delivers a flawless performance!
Here’s a Clip from my favorite performance last week when she sang a version of Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water. I get chills everytime I listen to it.

I can’t wait for her to come over to the U.S. She’s already booked on the talk show Ellen. Too bad it tapes in LA not NY usually, otherwise I’d have to call up my contact at NBC to get me tickets for the show

Hi I would like to join in the plaudits for the phenomenally gifted Leona Lewis, and wish her great success in the future.
However !, after surfing the net and discovering she has already written an album (nt yet released) and been working with “Top” producers both in the UK and USA , i think the UK TV viewing public have been ‘conned’ by the makers of X Factor.
To hear Simon Cowell & Sharon Osbourne repeatedly tell us weekly how Leona is bewilderingly unaware of her huge singing talent and ability,
PLEASE !!!, and to find out she has been booked on Ellen approx 3 weeks before the final !!.
This series of XFactor has been a good fundraiser for the producers with nearly 9 million texts and phone-in’s.
The core value of X Factor is to tour the country looking for an individual uncut diamond of talent, cut and polish it over 9 weeks then put it in the shop window to find it’s own place in the music industry. This year it seems thay just opted to take the easy option go to the jewellery store and hope nobody notices.
My gripe is not with Leona but with the manipulative makers of X Factor.

Jonathan, this is old news and was known from the start. She did the same as Kelly Clarkson, tried to break into the industry and failed. X factor was her last go before giving up.
Her shy nature did not give her the clout to open doors.
