R&B’s new rising star Ne-Yo came to New York and recorded a special intimate performance (for a lucky audience of 20) for MTV earlier this afternoon. He performed 5 songs, two from the last album, and three from his new upcoming album, including the new single “Because of You“.

Ne-Yo or Chimere rather, is always incredible at what he does. He’s gifted and was obviously born for this. I commend him for having the courage to step out from the shadows, knowing and not knowing all that he would endure, in order to deliver his gift more fully to the world. May he continually be blessed. I am enjoying every moment and aspect of him. And am sure I will for years to come.
